The mpeg4ip application seems to work on Lucid (64-bit, anyhow), but it expects
to be in an OSS environment, so my efforts to get it to work with a microphone
have not been successful. I understand that special drivers can be used so that
such applications can access the ALSA sound system and work correctly. Does
anyone know where I can find instructions for doing this?
