Liferay Compatibility

We,in our office,decide to buy a open source Liferay based portal ,but some of our now working software's is ms .net product.
Does any one of you guys have any experience in field of compatibility or maybe incompatibility of Liferay portal with ms .net products?

what compatibilty?
liferay and share point are completley incomaptible!
in .net you have webparts
in java ee you have porlets
webparts and portlets are so much different.

the only possible way to make them work together is using WSRP

maybe he's looking for interoperability (if any)
