KDE won't use wireless network but GNOME has always worked fine

This is actually posted somewhere on the Internet but I have the same problem.
So I haven't been using KDE on my laptop even though I have both ubuntu-desktop
and kunbutu-desktop installed. Can anyone help?

Why won't KDE find the wireless networks out there like GNOME does and why can't
I see them at all in KDE?
