Java VM server vs client

I have UBUNTU 9.04 OS with Java VM 1.5.0_18 running fine

I tested the JRE using the SUN's applet and passed the test

I try to install a program pcAnywhere that require a JVM but running
client, not server

I am running Java HotSpot Server VM, but want to run Java HotSpot Client VM

Hot to switch to client VM?
