Database With Pictures on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS ?

How do I create a database that I can put pictures in on Ubuntu 6.06
LTS please ?

I need the dummies explanation.... please, including what programs to
use !

I like digikam (on the gnome desktop) but f-spot is the default app and
is ok. Gthumb is another alternative and there are more in the
repositories.

all those will scan the drive and import the pics

Why not use the Open Office Database. It has a simple Wizard that will
do it all for you re set-up.

It is in your list of programs under the Apllications menu.
