I 'm looking for
detailed information on how to use VBA to grab data from a website requiring
a username/password login.
I need to connect  an excel  spreadsheet to a website that requires login
credentials and task would be to login  and obtain reports  and dump them
into excel.

That question is much easier to understand.

First make sure you can connect  to the website using Data/Import External
Data/New WebQuery. If that works then turn on macro record and do the same
again. This will record a macro that will do the task for you.

You can then look at the macro and try to understand what it is doing. If you
want to change anything try altering the macro to make your changes.

If you get stuck please come back to the list. When you do that please
include the code you are using in your post as that will make it easier for us
to understand what is happening.
