As for why I say my system thinks it's nVidia
is because I had a bunch of nVidia drivers installed. I've already
cleared them out...I think... And it seems that the X.Org driver's
installed, but just as I hit the Ubuntu Software Center listing, my
display white-washed. Totally white with a bunch of dark lines running
horizontally. If I could catch a log of what it's doing (or find it) I'd
send it to you.
