Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Jan 04

It started out that Ubie will not support it any 3rd party softeware. It MAY
break your system. It is not only that. Some people do not read before they
install it and want all the programs that it can install. Not knowing that if
you load up vitrualbox it may crash your system or Nvida drivers. So ubie has
not pro's or con's of it. It is use it at your own risk and that is it. Any
third party software and most of the programs that are open source are 3rd party
software. So if you install for example XMMS player and causes your system to
crap out. It is not Ubies fault. You installed a 3rd party program.
I never ever had a problem with AM. I select the programs that I want the scrip
to install and that is it. Ubie has the same feeling of people using Easy Ubuntu
too. I never had a problem with either. Each time I build up a Ubie machine. I
install Automatix and walk away till it gets to Java yes or no question.
I am pro Automatix and lot of people are. Just complaints of people who do not
read the directions before installing, during installing, and after. That is
what got them in trouble in the first place.
