The events you could use would include

Workbook Open
Workbook Activate
Worksheet Activate
Userform Activate
Userform Initialize

I would suggest you also look at the VBE help item "Initializing Control
Properties"

You can set the Rowsource property of a combobox  to a range  in a worksheet and
you do not need to initialise it.
