Strange goings-on in Firefox...

Date: Dec 14    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 300

Since upgrading to 8.10, my Firefox seems to have a mind
of it's own. I've used it exclusively as my web browser for five years
on Windows, Mac and now Linux, and I'll probably never use another
browser, but since I made the change to 8.10, it's really ticking me
off! Every time it opens, it goes into fullscreen mode, which means I
have to keep pressing F11 until it goes away. It's not that this is a
hardship, it's just a ball ache and it's annoying to have to do it every
time I want to see the time or navigate away from FF. Does anyone have
any ideas? (I didn't have this problem with earlier versions, by the way)

I don't see any advanced line-by-line options in Firefox 3 (as there
in Thunderbird), but look at the top bar, select "View" and note whether
"Full Screen" is checked or not; if it's checked, that'll be its default
on startup.

Open FF and in the View Menu take the tick out of the Full screen box.
