Removing podcasts from Banshee

Date: Feb 06    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 334

Banshee's the closest I have found to iTunes in managing my iPod touch so I'd
like to continue using it.

The problem is that I subscribed to a podcast about the history of Rock only to
discover that its in Bulgarian.

What I have not been able to see is how to remove a podcast from Banshee. The
Banshee's help section under "add and remove podcasts" tells about how to add
podcasts but not a word about removing them.

I've checked several Ubuntu sites but have not turned up a relevant word. I
cannot possibly be the only person who has needed to get rid of a disappointing
podcast. That says to me that the answer must be obvious and right in front of
me - but I'm not seeing it.

Can you delete the offending podcast from the iPod Touch itself? That
should delete it from Banshee next time it synchronises, or perhaps
will give you the option to add back or delete the link ?

Is this a current version of banshee?

I saw the following big indicating it would be fixed in versions later than
1.9.1 (a while ago I think...)

Banshee v2.0 has a button in the podcast list, "Remove Podcast". Simply
highlight the podcast you want to unsubscribe from and click the button.
