Menu Creation

Can someone tell me whether one can create complete menus in excel using
excel VBA just like switchboard in MS Access. My question is that by
placing command buttons on the userform in the parent workbook I should
be able to open any workbook of my choice and after completing the
process when I close that workbook my parent form should show up.

That is what would normally happen provided you do not close  the userform  or
the workbook  it belongs to. the form  will still be open  in the background
when the extra workbook is opened and when that workbook is closed the focus
will return to the form.
