I have just used Linux live USB creator to make a ubnuntu live usb from windows.
everything worked fine and i booted USB successfuly but when i rebooted back
into my windows XP, volume labels( Drive names) of my disk partitions have
changed from what i set to "LINUXLIVEKEY". I cant change their names now,
although everything else is working fine.

it is the drive names in windows that is now messed up? How are you trying
to change them?

You can change the disk label using Partition Manager in Ubuntu. Make sure
that the usb key is unmounted first.
