Java Oracle 9i query

can u please tell me how to get SID from Oracle 9i coz i have installed twice
oracle 9i and try to connect with java but every time connection could not be
establish ya but while connecting to same pc it is connected but if i try to
connect it with other pc (client ) to other server(oracle server pc) then it is
giving error that connection can not be established...

Its urgent if anybody can help me coz I have to do it as early as possible to
proceed with my project...

in the oracle  directory..
C:\oracle\ora90\network\ADMIN
thats the directory for me... check urs.

chkec tnsnames.ora
u ll see all the tns that u have..
and which one is the one u need to connect..
u ll get the SIDs in this file
