Cannot install Nvu website authoring program

Date: Jan 03    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 417

I have recently install Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) and I'm quite
impressed by it.

I have decided that I want to install "Nvu" web file authoring
program. The trouble is that when I start "Synaptic Package Manager" I
cannot find "Nvu" in it. So, since I cannot select it for installation
I cannot use it. Also, I have tried Application / Add/Remove... but
still no sign of Nvu.

Nvu has changed it's name to KompoZer due to Nvu and the Nvu logo being
trademarks of Linspire Inc. Since Linspire stopped development of Nvu,
there is now no legal way to correct any bugs in Nvu.

Packages available in the Universe repository for Ubuntu 7.04 and 7.10.
Debian package available on KompoZer website and maybe in repo's too.
