Group By Items

I would like to group by same items in column.
Say I have,
Product A A A B C C
I would expect output to be
Product Count A 3 B 1 C 2

How do i do that?

Create a pivot table

select the list and heading


Click Data/Pivot table...
accept the first two defaults
choose current worksheet
click where you want the report
drag Products to the row source area
drag products to the data area
