I downloaded Ubuntu/Wubi onto a external HD. If I decided to install
Ubuntu can I install it on my external drive, and will it check the
internal HD I have and migrate everything over(I want to bring over my
photo's and music over). Also I have another external HD that I use to
swap files between different computer along with a flash drive. Do
these have to be on the computer when I install Ubuntu?

In an effort to keep wubi simple they have kept it down to six choices. If you
want the migration tool you must use the regualr installer and not wubi.

However, your Windows drive should be visible from wubi installed Ubuntu and you
should be able to bring over files including address books, favorites and
bookmarks. Settings can probably be imported for Firefox and Thunderbird and
many other programs have their own import tools as well.
