study JNDI. use Cogent Logic Corporation's JNDI service provider for
accessing windows  registry. but the service provider is not free.
tutorial is available at http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial.
List of JNDI service providers can be found at
java.sun.com/products/jndi/serviceproviders.html.
