seeking help with J2ME

I'm planning to start up with wireless computing thru java. I think J2ME is the
probable thing for this. If it isnt, please correct me. Also, if anyone knows
good free pointers on the web for J2ME tutorials, kindly let me know, since I
cant afford to buy books for it.

yes, J2ME is the correct  place to start.

check out the java.sun.com homepage where you can find lots of tutorials,
information and new stuff concerning the Mobile/Wireless API.
