j2me Application

i need to write an Arabic words on my J2me Application,
but the mobile does not support the UTF

i had that problem wz websphere 4
somebody adviced me to set the data type in the database
to nvarchar and to give it the maximum size
as for J2ME application  i don know how to deal wz it
