I've been using windows for the
last 6 years but my experience with linux started just a week ago when i
installed Ubuntu alongwith XP on my system. After playing around with Linux for
a week, I guess I would love to explore more about it, specially the bash shell.
The way shell works make linux more powerfull OS than windows. But Sadly I dont
know much about bash and thats what I am seeking guidance from you people. Is
there any way to master the shell?

However, there are tons on references to bash shell on the Internet. I am
sure if you do a little digging (surfing) you will find many manuals, tutorials,
self-training, etc. on the net. This will give you the convenience of
information when and where you want it.

I did a Google search of "bash shell" and founds there are millions of hits.

If you do a search for Linux guides and you will find lots such as this one:
http://tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/

I print them as pdfs for future use. You can do that in Linux going to File,
Print and choose Print to File from the choice of printers. Click on pdf and
give it a name.

Also useful are the man pages. In a terminal windows type man <command> and
it will tell you the syntax and switches. You can also type man <command> in
a browser window.
