USB2 port problem

If this come up before, my apologies.

After the upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04, my USB2 port on the Dell laptop started
to perform as a USB1 port

I used to transfer data from my USB2 port to the flash drive on average
200mb/sec

After the upgrade to 10.04 is slowed down to 2.4mb/sec

Both the computer port and the flash drive are rated as USB2

Any ideas would be appreciated

eading up I see that this can be a problem but to verify if it's a
conflict between the hardware and 10.04 or the upgrade that's cause it
try booting from the Live CD and then check data transfer speed.
