You might want to try a mailing list that focuses towards JavaScript
instead of Java. Dispite both sharing the word Java they have little in
common after that.

I am now doing java  programs I had done

Well Java is made by sun, and is is OO.

JavaScript was orginaly called LiveScript and was called JavaScript to
cash in on the Java craze. Sun only let them use it because they wanted
to secure the rights to the netscape web platform.

Basicly JavaScript is a scripting language (client side) (with the
exception of the netscape web server).

At the end of the day they have some minor syntax that looks familure
... and thats it.
