java - AS 400 interface

Has anyone worked with JAVA and interfacing AS 400 ( DB 2 database )

I need to the difference how to use batch & interactive data
connection from SERVLET in apache server that is running on linux!
What is the best approach to do data mapping from java to db2 on as 400.
