What does this VBA/Excel compile error mean (?)

Compilation error:
The type defined by the user was not defined

I have included an ActiveX ( .DLL ) into an Excel application and am getting
this compilation error
when trying to call a function as part of the class module file within an (
Excel AddIn ) file.

Any ideas ?

I fix it, but now am getting this compile  error..

Expected user-defined type, not project.

Be careful not to create a naming conflict between the project name or
names of modules.
