How to Copy the name of a sheet

Asked By: Carlton    Date: Jan 27    Category: MS Office    Views: 519

I am working on a worksheet that has too many sheets in it. I have
several questions:
1. Is there a macro command to know the how many sheets in I have in my
worksheets?
2. I want to copy the name of the sheets in a cell. How to do it?
3. How to go to the *first* sheet without specifying the name of the sheet?
4. How to go to the *last* sheet without specifying the name of the sheet?

1 ActiveWorkbook.sheets.count
2 to put the name of the active sheet  in cell  A2
cells(2,1)=activesheet.name
3 sheets(1).activate
4 sheets(sheets.count).activate

There may be minor errors in the above but in principle they should work
with a bit of tweaking.

Please don't ask questions  in a group before trying to find the answer
yourself with a Google search, etc. The very first hit from my Google
search was for exactly the type of things you want to do.
