Calling a value from a different tab

Asked By: Kiral    Date: Feb 08    Category: MS Office    Views: 600

I have a workbook with about 10 sheets in it labelled as month - year. On
each of these worksheets is a 500 entry database, and some of the entries are
missing. I want to know if I can record a macro which, if the data for item 59
stopped being recorded in Feb -05, will print Feb -05 to a cell beside item 59
in the current worksheet.

You can't use the record function to create a macro of this complexity. You
need to write it in the Visual Basic Environment.

You can certainly work down the cells in a sheet and look to see if they are
empty. The name of the worksheet a cell is in can be gained from the Worksheet
property of the cell, if you don't already have it in the code.
