Puppy LuPu-525 makes a great addition to your repair kit...

I'm just that happy to finally have a tool to
repair Ubuntu installed computers, without using the command line either!! That
beats Windows and OpenSuse as far as I know and remember.
Last night, it seems I had an unclean shutdown and the message regarding missing
/sbin/init. I tried an earlier Puppy LuPu which mounted the drive, but I saw the
new version was released and downloaded from Distrowatch and tried it today.
Yippee!! It worked and I was able to update and saw I did have Adobe installed
still, so I don't know why I couldn't open pdf files last night.
Are there any other problems with adding an HP laser printer, it saw it and said
it was ready to use, but no joy printing a calendar last night? Will try that
later after I double-check my Ubuntu 10.10 a bit longer.

I'm a big fan of Puppy Linux, after (K)Ubuntu of course! I'm
downloading LuPu 5.25 as I write.
