libfinance-quote-perl

I got to thinking about getting stock quotes using Mint 5 KDE. Didn't
find anything that stuck out in the menu. Went to adept manager and
searched and found that libfinance-quote-perl was already installed.
Found some reference to libfinance-quote-perl not being a program but
a package. Also found reference to getting stock quotes from in
gnucash. Was not successful in getting quotes from inside gnucash
either. Just starting to use gnucash.

Does anyone know more than I have found about retrieving stock market
information in Mint or Kubuntu 8.04?

No, I don't want minute by minute bad news. I was just tinkering
around and got to looking at how to check on a particular stock. I
actually have several sources where I can find what I need on the net.
Forget about libfinance-quote-perl. I may get back into it later after
(if ever) I get real deep in gnuCash.
