JTable (colspan or rowspan) ?

Does anybody know how to colspan or rowspan in a
JTable ?
I've been searching the net and reading a lot of books
but I haven't had any success.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

To create colspan or rowspan is a bit complicated.
Maybe you can take a look at this site.

www2.gol.com/.../JTableExamples4.html

It gives some variations of making the JTables and other
components also.

I also found that link but it only
runs on version 1.3. I am still trying to digest the
code though, and hopefully convert it to version 1.4
atleast. Hm... does anybody have commments on this
topic ?
