JSP performance

May I ask about development tips and tricks to increase JSP performance in run?
Particularly for:
Application server: Tomcat
OS: Windows

In OC4J, we made a jar file from jsp  compiles,then put it in WEB-
INF/lib, then choose JUSTRUN in configuration xmls.
