What is jboss ?

Is Jboss webserver like Tomcat ? If yes, then what's Jboss advantage
compared to Tomcat?

Tomcat is a serlvet container able to run servlets and jsp. JBoss in
a full j2ee application server. JBoss comes with the servlet
container with the other 11+ technologies contained in the j2ee
family. The more popular version of JBoss bundles Tomcat as the
servlet container.
