I read that eog was a default application for the gnome desktop... but
then it would also appear that gthumb is as well.

As gthumb has more features i was wondering if there is a way to make
it the default app for all pics. In winblows one changes the
associations but i don't think one does that the same way in linux. I
do wonder why eog is still kept as a default app? By comparison with
gthumb it's poor.
