e-board with chatting facilities

I am a student and i am planning to construct a online
interactive e-board with chatting facilities.
I dont know in which area the choice of programming would be efficient for the
above project.

i have three choices

1.J2EE
2.Applets
3.java with Flash.

please help me out

J2EE using JSP,Applets,JavaBeans and Flash.

Another alternative might be phpMyChat based upon Php/MySQL

It entirly depends on what level you want to do it in ...

If you are just hacking together something for a CS clan ... then some PHP
stuff out there is realy good.

If you are looking for a full on enterprise soultion then I wouldn't
personaly go down the PHP path, unless I realy had to.
