Brasero

I'm just out of windows and it looks dirty but my cd writer / dvd that
always worked on windows in this very slow brasero, to record a dvd
4.7 Gb 8x max mark that he will take 3hours and then gets heavier and
error, the worst that happens the same error on my laptop too ...

I have 2gb of ram 2.5 gb of free disk space on the system (would that be?
) 2GB in swap.

my doubt is that to be setting something wrong because it reads normal
and writes slowly, has something to do with the drivers? Some forums talk about
defragment the disk to put in ext4 is not to fragments or wrong?
I'm recording with the brasero I heard is very good someone has had
similar problem or knows the solution?

I found Brasero to be a bit buggy in many Debian or Ubuntu Derivatives.

In my opinion the 2 burn softwares that work really well are
XFBurn and K3B. Of the 2, I like K3B better but it means you will
need to add some additional files/libraries to meet the various KDE-ish
dependencies

Sorry to hear you've had problems with Brasero. I've used it for three
years trying it on three different distros - been fine on each one. I
don't know what to suggest other than it must be corrupted somehow and
try K3B instead... perhaps there's another but i haven't tried it.
