Remove a directory - rmdir

This article explains about rmdir command with an example in unix.

rmdir command is used to remove a directory in unix.

• Can only remove if directory is empty.

Syntax of rmdir Command

rmdir dirName


Example of rmdir Command

rmdir myFolder
rmdir OfficeDocuments
rmdir: OfficeDocuments: Directory not empty
