Today I got update notices on both machines and I must say that the
way it was handled in Mint was far superior to ubuntu and it was
much faster. Mint simply had me download the deb file and
install. ubuntu tried to install thru synaptic and it hung up,
crashed, got a crash notice with a fix solution. Then had to
completely reinstall it. This time it worked but geez.
VB is working marvelously- thanks to whoever turned me on to this
option and to all those who helped me get it set up. I was able to
print recipes on my USB printer, I can use my Flash drive and just
now was able to communicate with another USB 500G drive that is
attached.
NewsbinPro was my only problem with 9.04 so now I can just install it
in VB and go on about my business.
From now on when I decide to experiment with a new Distro I think
that VB would be better than completely revamping my system :) Not
that I really minded, I really learned a lot that way, but its
time to move on and leave my host system in tact so I can use it. LOL
