System activity reporter - sar

This article explains about sar command with an example in unix.
sar command is used to display system activity reporter in unix.
Syntax of sar Command
sar [- options]
Example of sar Command
Example 1 : Watch CPU activity evolve for 5 seconds
sar 1 5
Example 2 : Report buffer activity
sar -b 1 5
Example 3 : Report activity for each block device, eg disk or tape drive
sar -d 1 5
